“Universidad Internacional SEK Quito” invited the U.S. Embassy to participate in a conference on the topic of U.S. – Ecuador relations with its fifth year law students. Political Officer, Mark Pannell, and Economic Officer, Matt Meadows, conducted the presentation for an audience of 35 students. U.S. Embassy officers discussed issues of mutual interest such as antinarcotics efforts, bilateral commercial relations, international agreements and opportunities to study in the U.S. The students posed a variety of questions on issues of concern to both nations and the officers ably presented the U.S. government perspective in their responses. As a result of the presentation, Universidad SEK has extended an invitation for additional conferences on a variety of topics to be held at its other faculties. (
