non-immigrant visas
STEP 4:
The interview
You should arrive to the consulate 30 minutes prior to your interview and be prepared for a (3) hour process due to the high volume of applicants which visit the consular section (200 per day). Every effort will be made to ensure a minimal wait time, however unforeseen circumstances and high volume of applications make wait time unpredictable.
The supplemental requirements for the interview (forms, documents etc.) vary according to type of visa being requested. Please make sure that you bring the appropriate supplemental documents according to the visa being requested in order to ensure efficient processing.
If ALL supplemental materials are not brought with you, the consular section will not be able to complete the interview. It is important that the forms are filled out completely, supporting documentation is present, and ALL forms and documentation are completed truthfully. Should you falsify any part of the process, your request will be denied, and legal action will be taken.
The embassy cannot authorize the assistance of a third person in visa requests. It also does not authorize the collection of other tariffs BESIDES those previously mentioned. If you are contacted to supply another payment besides those approved of by the embassy, you should contact the Embassy’s Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU).
