Emergency Messages and Newsletters
Messages for U.S. Citizens
To better serve U.S. citizens in Ecuador, ACS regularly updates its Warden system. The Warden system is designed to ensure that U.S. citizens receive timely information about natural disasters, civil emergencies or anything else that could affect their safety while in Ecuador.
The Warden system for Ecuador has been broken down into smaller units, according to districts, and/or by organizations. We would like to enroll every U.S. citizen living or traveling in Ecuador and to identify U.S. citizen Wardens who would like to assist the Embassy in informing other U.S. citizens in their area of fast-breaking news. In general, Warden duties are not time-consuming, but are vital in times of emergency.
If you are interested in becoming a Warden, please visit our Wardens sections.
