To better serve U.S. citizens in Ecuador, ACS regularly updates its Warden system. The Warden system is designed to ensure that U.S. citizens receive timely information about natural disasters, civil emergencies or anything else that could affect their safety while in Ecuador.
The Warden system for Ecuador has been broken down into smaller units, according to districts, and/or by organizations. We would like to register every U.S. citizen in each of these regions and to identify U.S. citizen Wardens who would assist the Embassy in informing other U.S. citizens in their area of fast-breaking news. In general, Warden duties are not time-consuming, but could be vital in times of emergency.
