Economic Section 

The Economic Section is responsible for reporting to Washington on economic, commercial, and environmental developments in Ecuador and for representing U.S. interests in these fields. The section advises the Ambassador on bilateral trade negotiations investment policy, intellectual property protection, financial matters and debt, as well as environmental, petroleum, mining, and civil aviation issues.
