Narcotics Affairs Section 

The Narcotics Affairs Section (NAS) is the principal Mission office responsible for administering and coordinating U.S. Government resources provided to the Government of Ecuador to strengthen the capability of its law enforcement, military forces and other public institutions to combat drug trafficking and other transnational organized crimes. NAS advises the Ambassador, other Mission elements and Washington agencies about transnational criminal activity in Ecuador and recommends policies and projects to counter them.
