Emergencies
If you would like to travel to the United States due to an emergency, you should communicate with the Call Center so they can assign an interview as early as possible. The consular section cannot arrange interviews for any reason.
If an early interview request is granted you should bring all the necessary documentation along with proof to support your stated emergency.
Remember that if your case doesn’t constitute a truthful emergency, you will be denied the use of this service, your visa will be denied, and your action may prohibit the availability of this service for others in an emergency situation.
Emergency requests could consist of:
- Indispensable medical treatment.
- The death of a close family member.
- The need to testify in State or Federal court.
- The beginning of classes.
Lack of preparation before travel will not guarantee you approval of your petition nor the approval of your visa.
