Western Kentucky University Students and Professors Visited the Embassy

Twenty students and 3 professors from estern Kentucky University’s International Studies Program visited the Embassy on Wednesday, June 13 for a briefing on U.S. Ecuador Relations. Outreach Officer, Arnaldo Arbesú and Economic Section Officer, Bridget Alway-Premont, discussed various issues concerning both countries, including education, health, environmental, commercial and political topics. Students were very interested in the U.S. government’s position on most of these matters as well as technical assistance efforts currently being implemented in Ecuador. The students are participating in a four week intensive visit of Ecuador as part of their international field of study. This was the first time the students had visited a U.S. Embassy as part of their program.
